I am an interdisciplinary artist and scholar with a passion for little-known histories, interactive media, and diverse storytelling. For the past eight years I have researched cross-cultural entertainment, exploring the intersections of gender, data, and theory in historical and media narratives. I have an MPhil in Film and Screen Studies from the University of Cambridge, and a BA in Global Studies and Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, I am working at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Outside of work, I can usually be found tending to my garden, writing and reading adventure stories, or wandering through museums. In my free-time, I like to practice the dulcimer, sew historical costumes, and research Al-Andalus, 14th century pirates, and contemporary pop-culture.
